A hit of that sweet sweet plastic crack

I'm sure we've all referred to miniatures as "plastic crack" at some point, well this drives that analogy home even more. Nothing says drugs like plastic baggies.

Obviously my package from BitzBarn has arrived, everything that was supposed to arrive did, The bitz themselves are trimmed off the sprue pretty well.  Not cuts into the model or anything.  All in all I'm pretty happy with my order from them.  As soon as they get a tire in for my bike, I'll be making another order from them.

I started construction on my custom Space Marine Sniper Scout.  I wanted to try one of them and make sure that I had ordered bitz that would work well together. I'll admit I could have done better on the legs that I chose.  Had to do a bit of cutting and removing so that my scouts didn't look like they were wearing a skirt.  I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

I think I'm going to buy some guitar string or something like that to give the bow a metallic looking bowstring after I paint it.  Right now I'm waiting for the greenstuff Camo Cloak I made to full set so that I can prime him.  

And finally, a quick painting update to the Attack Bike I've been working on.  It's progressing along, still have a bit of touch up work to do on things but I think I could pretty easily knock that out in an evenin so long as I don't get distracted.  

Attack Bike plus Scout Unit progress

Been on a medically imposed hiatus for a week, finally feeling good enough to get the painting stuff out.  Not a ton of progress done, but I'm waiting for it to dry so I can start working on it again.

Also, I made an order with BitzBarn today.  I have this hair brained notion that I'm going to equip my snipers with bows.  Will it work?  MAYBE.  So today I ordered....

5 x Space Marine Terminator Powerfist Arms (SM-07-006) = $7.50

The Powerfists are for other purposes, I think I can whip up 5 Scout Snipers using the rest of the stuff.  Sadly they didn't have the tire that I was needing, but I figured that if I waited for them to get a tire in stock, they'd probably be out of the rest of the stuff. 

This is my first order from BitzBarn and while I can say that I like their selection and prices, making the payment was a bit disappointing. There were 2 methods to make a credit card payment.  Paypay(who I HATE HATE HATE using) and Authorize.net.  I was going to use the Authorize.net but page where you enter your credit card number was just a plain ole webpage with a submit button... no SSL connection.  I ended up using paypal, but buyer beward indeed if you order from BitzBarn unless you like having your credit card number stolen.  

Holy crap, I just said something useful on here.  I better quit while I'm ahead, time to shower and hit the hay.  The golf course is calling my name in the morning.

Progress!

Did some painting tonight.  Still WIP but it's something right?

I need to fix that moldline, but this is VERY early work.  

I need to fix his facepaint and eyes, but I can't do that till it dries.  Feels good to post some progress. Now just gotta stick with it.
